2018 Noetta Napa Merlot

Thought to be from the French name for the blackbird, and it is the most widely planted grape in the Bordeaux wine regions of France. It is a cross between Cabernet Franc and a relatively obscure grape varietal called Madeleina (after the feast day it was harvested on.) A versatile wine with a soft and “round” character, our Merlot shows hints of cassis, cherry and plum. It can be enjoyed as it presents or aged for mellowness and a more complex flavor profile. Our Merlot is from grapes grown exclusively in Napa Valley. Enjoy it with red meats, stews and roasted poultry, your favorite chocolate, or on its own for a truly contemplative experience.
